European Chief Prosecutor, Laura Kövesi, will pay a working visit to Bulgaria on June 10 and 11, 2021.
A working meeting is planned with the caretaker Minister of Justice Prof. Yanaki Stoilov, with the Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and with the Prosecutorial Board of the Supreme Judicial Council, to discuss the possible candidates to fill in all 10 posts for European delegated prosecutors alocated to Bulgaria.
Kövesi accepted in her team only 4 of the 10 proposals for Bulgarian delegated prosecutors to investigate the misuse of European funds. New candidates are still awaited.
The meetings will be working and are not expected to be attended by the media. Laura Kövesi will make a short statement on June 11 (Friday) at 12:00 in the House of Europe in Sofia, after which there will be time for questions and answers.
On the same day, the European Prosecutor will leave Bulgaria.
