Ahmed Musa Ahmed, who in November 2014 was arrested in a special operation by the Bulgarian State Agency for National Security in Pazardzhik, allegedly facilitated the transit of fighters from Western Europe to the terror group Islamic State across the territory of Bulgaria. This was said by the prosecutor on 6th of February during the appeal hearing at the court in the town of Pazardzhik, in which Ahmed Musa and the other 7 arrested persons appealed against their detention.
The prosecutor’s office has information that Ahmed Musa, Angel Simov and Stefan Aleksandrov met a Bosnian national, who had a French passport and another man who had a German passport, at Kalotina crossing point, at the Bulgarian border with Serbia. They accommodated them in Iztok residential area in the town of Pazardzhik, provided a car for one of them and after a short stay saw them on their way to Syria. The court sitting is on-going.
