tourism minister bulgaria ready start summer season

We are ready to start the summer tourist season, we have already launched the "Safe Summer 2021" campaign and at the moment everything is uploaded on social channels. The video is now available. It was also distributed on our TV stations, so we have advertising.

This was stated by the outgoing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova during a meeting on April 27 between the outgoing Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov with representatives of the largest tourist associations and tour operators in the country.

"The Ministry of Tourism has adopted uniform rules that will apply to all places of eating and accommodation, to all establishments, including the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism on the rules for entering the country and the practices we received have been coordinated with the health authorities," Minister Nikolova said.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked Prof. Dr. Kostadin Angelov for the exceptional dialogue.

"We are ready to present the protocol for entering the country and it will be agreed with the health authorities and the chief state health inspector," she added.

Minister Nikolova also clarified that the advertising campaign has helped us for a successful winter season.

"Despite the pandemic, we had guests from our neighbouring Balkan countries who visited our winter resorts. We were the only ones working," the Deputy PM concluded.

During the meeting Prof. Angelov clarified that 3 options for entering the country are being discussed - with a vaccination certificate; or with a negative PCR test or a negative antigen test; or with a document proving natural immunity after being ill and recovered from Covid-19 up to 6 months before entry.
