Traffic congestion between Blagoevgrad and Simitli

Traffic congestion was formed on the main road E-79 between Blagoevgrad and Simitli (South-West of Bulgaria) on 2^nd of January.It takes more than half an hour for a journey through that stretch of the road.

Traffic is exceptionally busy on the second-class road Bansko - Simitli, where there are long lines of Bulgarian and Romanian vehicles.

The delays result from the increased traffic from the winter resort to Sofia after the New Year holidays.

Due to heavy traffic and non-observance of distance there were several minor road accidents in the area.
