The UK and Bulgaria signed a joint declaration and a strategic partnership document.
This comes after earlier this month British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov agreed the two countries to cooperate in the fight against illegal migration.
The document was signed today, October 24, in London by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel and Britain's top diplomat James Cleverly.

"These documents are the result of cooperation between our two countries in a number of areas. Defence and security, including security in the Black Sea region, the field of technology, the fight against cybercrime and disinformation. The agreement also enables us to work together on other issues such as education and cultural exchanges," said James Cleverly, UK Foreign Secretary.
"The signing of today's declaration takes our partnership with the UK to a new level. A strategic partnership means we are not just friends, not just partners, but allies. That together we provide solutions to global challenges," added Mariya Gabriel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs.
