The 95th edition of “Varna Summer” International Music Festival began this weekend.
This year, the Bulgaria coastal city of Varna celebrates 2 more anniversaries - 100 years since it was declared a resort city and a century since the establishment of the drama theatre "Stoyan Bachvarov".
The programme features European projects with Bulgarian participation, such as the concert at the opening of the festival with Maestro Rossen Milanov on the conductor's stand, and the symphony orchestra of the State Opera in Varna and the symphony orchestra of the Slovenian Radio and Television, as well as soloists from Germany and Armenia.
The programme is traditional, but for the first time the so-called percussion fiesta will take place with world-renowned soloists, as well as the project "European Rising Stars", with winners of prestigious international competitions.
Viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy opera and ballet at the Summer Theatre, a programme with baroque and music, a scientific symposium on "German Romanticism" and many others.
