A fire front of 5 km in the north-west part of the wildfire continue to rage, although the advance of the blaze was stopped. In the outbreaks however, the fire is still burning, the mayor of Madzharovo village, Milko Amurtliev said on 1st of August.
The state of emergency on the territory of the affected municipality remains in place, but may be cancelled in the afternoon, depending on the development of the situation, Amurtliev explained.
The concerns are that because of the hot weather and the high temperatures, the wildfire may become active again, he added.
