A woman has died after being hit by a car earlier today, May 15, while crossing the E-79 road in Kresna.
The accident occurred shortly before midday at an unauthorised crossing point, where there is no designated pedestrian crossing. The woman was taken by ambulance to emergency care, but later died from her injuries.
The section of the road has been closed to traffic, with vehicles being diverted along alternative routes.
