World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7.
This year's holiday has a different, deeper meaning. Doctors and nurses and medical staff from emergency medical centres and hospitals held a minute silence in memory of their colleagues who lost their lives in the battle with Covid-19.
More than 120 medics have died of Covid-19 in Bulgaria.
Medics in "Pirogov" emergency hospital in Sofia and in front of emergency centre at exactly 12.00 o’clock remained silent for a minute as a tribute to their colleagues who lost their life while saving patients during the ongoing pandemic.
