18 political parties and 9 coalitions have applied at the Central Election Commission to take part in the 26th of March early parliamentary elections. The deadline for submission of applications was 17:00 on 8th of February.
Bulgaria’s caretaker government will provide additional funding for the early elections to enable machine voting at all polling stations, Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev said earlier on 8th of February. The decision is based on the ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court that machine voting option has to be provided at all polling stations.
