Ivaylo Eftimov aka Yozhi who had been sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment in the trial against the kidnapping gang “The Impudent”, will not be released from prison earlier than scheduled, Sofia Court of Appeals ruled on 6th of June, overturning the decision of the first instance court. According to the second instance court, there is a dangerous repetition of criminal behaviour in the case and therefore at least 2/3 of the sentence has to be served, not half of it.
On 1st of June, the appeal court magistrates overturned the early release from prison of another member of the kidnapping gang, Lyubomir Dimitrov aka the Rower, who had been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.
