We are willing to accept the governance of the country, the co-leader of the nationalist alliance “Patriotic Front”, Krasimir Karakachanov, said on 23rd of November following a hour and a half talks with Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev.
“This option will be implemented only if we receive the support of the other parties,” the other co-leader of the Patriotic Front, Valeri Simeonov specified.
Until Tuesday, 29th of November, the Patriotic Front say they will hold talks with all political forces represented in Parliament except the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and DOST party.
The second possibility which the Patriotic Front suggested in the meeting with Bulgaria’s Head of State was to keep the current government in place but with a different Prime Minister, not Boyko Borissov. According to the two Patriotic Front leaders, such cabinet is possible to govern by the end of the term of office of the 43rd National Assembly.
The President is holding a round of meetings with all political parties represented in Parliament to discuss the formation of a government after the resignation of Boyko Borissov’s cabinet following the defeat of his party GERB’s candidate in the Presidential elections. So far, he has had talks with the four largest parliamentary groups – Boyko Borissov’s GERB, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and the Reformist Bloc. They all have said they are not willing to form a government.
