Christmas bonus of 40 BGN will be given to each pensioner who receives up to 300 BGN monthly pension, Bulgaria’s Minister of Labour and social Policy Zornitsa Rousinova said on 26th of October. The government will allocate 50 million BGN for the Christmas bonus. The money come from funds collected by the revenue agencies and the prosecutor’s office from smuggling. The payment will be made without touching the reserve.
More than 1,200 million pensioners will receive the bonus.
The social minister said that the additional 40 BGN to the pensions was a good assistance in the eve of the winter months and holidays.
The payment will be made at the same time as the regular payment of the December pensions.
