The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) signed an agreement to create a coalition with five other political parties - Political Club Ecoglastnost, PP Nova Zora (New Dawn), Communist Party of Bulgaria, Agrarian Union Alexander Stamboliiski and Trakiya political club. The new coalition will be named BSP for Bulgaria. This was announced at a press conference by the BSP leader Kornelia Ninova 0n 7th of February.
The new coalition is not a union of parties for use of power and subsidies, but it is a political alliance of like-minded, a team of parties that share the platform of BSP and have their real followers, Niniova said. She added that the coalition was created for all kinds of elections in Bulgaria.
At the start of the 44th National Assembly, BSP will submit a proposal to reduce the subsidy of the party, Kornelia Ninova said. She noted that therefore the agreement set out that the coalition partners would reduce the percentage of the subsidy from 75% to 50%.
On 8th of February, BSP for Bulgaria will register in the Central Election Commission for participation in 26th of March parliamentary elections, she said. Ninova noted that additional bilateral agreements would be signed with about ten civic associations and patriotic unions for cooperation with the coalition.
