Bulgaria’s Minister of Finance, Vladislav Goranov, said on 10th of May that the procedure to grant Sofia airport on concession will be launched again.
Goranov said that he did not see any reason to not continue the concession procedure started by Borissov 2 cabinet.
In April, Bulgaria's caretaker government cancelled the tender saying the plan to grant concession rights for 35 years at Sofia airport was not in the public interest.
The idea for the concession came by the government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov with the intention to use the money raised through the concession to finance the rehabilitation of state railways BDZ.
