The speaker of Bulgaria’s Parliament, Tsetska Tsacheva, convenes a special sitting on 24th of January, the press office of the Parliament said on 23rd of January. The Speaker convenes the sitting based on a request by one-fifth of the MPs in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the Rules for the Organisation and the Activities of the National Assembly.
The agenda will include second reading of the draft Law on Concessions, second reading of amendments to the Law on Legal Aid, to the Law on Law on Execution of Sentences and Detention and the Law on Spatial Planning. The sitting will also deal with the second reading of the amendments to the Law on State Property, the Civil Procedure code and the Law on Obligations and contracts.
On 20th of January, 50 MPs from the Reformist Bloc, Patriotic Front, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, ABC party, Bulgarian Democratic Centre – People’s Union and Ataka lodged a request to the National Assembly asking for the convening of the special siting for Tuesday, 24 the of January.
