Caretaker Minister of Agriculture and Foods, prof. Hristo Bozukov demanded the Executive Director of State Fund Agriculture, Roumen Porozhanov to step down on 1st of February.
The reasons are a public mistrust in State Fund Agriculture, doubts about the legitimacy of the choice of the executive director and a decision of the court to reinstate the previous management, Bozukov explained.
He added that he had received signals from beneficiaries for irregularities in some projects qualified for EU funding and the need to make a thorough review of the fund.
Bozukov said that in order to conduct a proper review of the fund, he expected Porozhanov’s resignation within an hour.
