The storms began last night from northwestern Bulgaria. There was a hail storm in Sofia and Pernik. At night and at the moment, four teams of the Emergency Aid and Prevention Directorate of the Sofia Municipality are processing signals related to rainfall and hailstorms.
The emergency teams have responded to 11 reports of fallen tree branches, formation of deep puddles in streets and broken roof tiles.
At present, the public transport has resumed regular service on all routes except bus lines 45 and 77 due to deep puddles at Vardar and Vazkresenie streets.
Cleaning companies are assigned to check the condition of the rainwater drains and to clean them from fallen leaves.
Due to the bad weather yesterday, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov ordered the national operative staff in the Ministry of Interior to be convened.
