1652 are the total cases of coronavirus confirmed in Bulgaria, the national task force said in an update at 17:00 on May 4. Twenty more cases were reported since the morning: 17 in Vidin and 3 in Sofia.
316 people diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 37 of them in intensive care.
The total include 824 men and 828 women.
177 medical staff tested positive for the virus.
As at 17:00 on May 4, the cases of coronavirus in the districts across the country are as follows: Blagoevgrad – 52; Bourgas – 47; Varna - 26; Veliko Turnovo – 24; Vidin – 150; Vratsa – 10; Gabrovo – 6; Dobrich – 13; Kardzhali – 13; Kyustendil – 69; Lovech – 2; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 33; Pernik – 19; Pleven – 163; Plovdiv – 79; Razgrad -1; Rousse - 15; Silistra - 5; Sliven – 52; Smolyan – 37; Sofia – 743; Stara Zagora – 38; Haskovo – 17; Shumen – 4; Yambol – 16.
The fatalities are 78. An 82 year old man dies in Aleksandrovska hospital in Sofia. He had choronic kidney failure and pyelonephritis. A 69 year old man from an old people’s home in Gara Oreshets village died in hospital in Vratsa. He had cirrhosis and brain vessels disease. A 78 year old man from an old people’s home in Kula died in hospital in Vidin. He had diabetis. A 55 year old woman died in hospital in Yambol. She had diabetis and high blood pressure.
The Ministry of Health extends sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
