The court proceedings against the three Syrian citizens accused of terrorism opened on 18th of October.
Before the start of the sitting of the Bulgarian specialised court, it became clear that 5 mobile phones were found after a search in the prison cell of one of the suspects. The three Syrians were accused of wanting to illegally get to Syria and join the ranks of Islamic state.
The specialized court admitted the found mobile phones as evidence and immediately initiated a check on the data in the phones and whether they were used by the Syrian in the cell.
The first witness in the court case was interviewed - an employee of Bulgaria’s State Agency for National Security (SANS). According to his testimony, the relationship with DAESH were the photos and the chats in the phones of the three suspects, which were found during their attempt to illegally cross the border with Turkey.
