September 14 is declared a day of mourning in the town of Razlog (Southwestern Bulgaria), the birthplace of Senior Lieutenant Ventsislav Dunkin - one of the pilots of the crashed L-39 aircraft.
The flags on the municipal administration building in Razlog will be flown at half-mast, the municipality announced on its Facebook page.

Senior Lieutenant Ventsislav Dunkin, 28, was born in 1996 in Razlog. He lived in Pleven because of his profession. He is one of the best Bulgarian pilots.
The mayor of Razlog municipality has extended sincere condolences to the family for the loss of their son, Ventsislav Dunkin.
"A young man's life has flown to the stars," wrote Krasimir Gerchev on his Facebook profile. - A true Bulgarian fighter. One of the best young Bulgarian pilots. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. May he rest in peace," the municipality wrote.
