Trakia motorway and the Pass of the Republic remain blocked to traffic, and at this stage there are no talks between us and the government, Dimitar Manolov, the president of the trade union "Podkrepa" told BNT on October 4.
"The government probably thinks it has done its job, but it turns out that a lot of people disagree. People are ready to continue with the roadblocks."
Manolov has no information about any pressure on the protesters to lift the blockades:
"I understand that the management of Maritsa East Mines has met with the protesters, but it is not so much about pressure, these were talks in the direction of stopping the activity."
The protest action is not centralized, but local, so the upcoming actions will be decided on the spot, he explained.
CITUB trade union told BNT that after 18:30, a new decision on the protest actions on the Pass of the Republic is likely to be taken.
