No form of campaigning and releasing of result from opinion polls are allowed from midnight on 5th of November to the end of the Election Day on Sunday, 6th of November.
More than 6,800,000 Bulgarians are eligible to vote in the Presidential elections on Sunday, 6th of November.
The number of people eligible to vote in the national referendum is by 2,000 less because of the requirement for them to have permanent address in Bulgaria as at the date of the publishing of the President’s decree on scheduling the plebiscite.
12.418 polling stations will be opened in the country. The number of polling stations abroad will be a total of 325 in 71 countries.
The preparation for the poll, including the premises and the documentation required for the vote, should be finalised by Saturday evening, 5th of November. The polling sections will be sealed and guarded by the police until the start of the election day.
On the occasion of the forthcoming presidential elections, the Head of state, President Rossen Plevneliev will deliver his address to the nation before the day of reflection. The address will be broadcast at 20:00 on 4th of November on BNT and BNR.
