The seventh edition of the festival for comedy films “Funny Film Fest” begins on 20th of October in the city of Gabrovo, known as the capital of humour and satire. The programme included 22 film titles in the categories “Competition”, “World Screen”, “Golden Comedies”, “Children’s Cinema”, “Special Event” and “Funny Film Fest Goes on…”, the culture department of Gabrovo municipality said.
Nine productions will participate in the competition programme. This year, residents and guests of the city will have the opportunity to see many Bulgarian films: 2 new feature films, 5 short films, one “golden” film and one children’s feature-length animation.
A jury panel of three members, Dimitar Kotsev-Shosho, Martina Vachkova and Kin Stoyanov, will determine the winner of the “Funniest film of Gabrovo” prize.
The festival programme envisages meetings with interesting, famous and loved Bulgarian actors, book presentations, children's workshop on animation and lots of music, the organisers of the event said.
The official opening of the festival is at 19.30 hours in "Renaissance" hall. Half an hour later Gabrovo residents and visitors will see the French film "What Did We Do to God?", (directed by Philippe de Shoveron), which is included in the competition programme.
The event will run until 26th of October.
