The government has approved a change in the list of post offices where residents can exchange Bulgarian levs for euros, effective 5 January 2026.
Nine additional locations have been added to ensure equal access to free banknote and coin exchange in the new national currency for residents in areas without bank branches.
Post offices in neighbourhoods of cities and towns where other exchange options are available nearby are dropped from the list.
