Kristalina Georgieva resigned from the post of Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Budget and Human Resources and Bulgaria’s European commissioner, the European Commission said on 28th of October.
She will take up a new responsibility, as of January 2017, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the World Bank.
A month ago, Georgieva participated in the race for UN Secretary General.
