Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism, Nikolina Angelkova, told the BNT morning programme “The Day Begins” on 28th of October that the 2016 summer season was very successful for the tourism in the country. Between June and September 2016, more than 5 million tourists visited Bulgaria. The number may exceed 8 million by the end of the year. In comparison with 2015, there is an increase of 18% in the number of tourists and shortly over 15% in the revenues.
“The quality of the product we offer to tourists is getting better and the 4 and 5-star hotels this summer season operated at full capacity, “the minister said.
According to a survey conducted by the ministry of tourism, over 70% of the tourists who came to Bulgaria through tour operators said that they were satisfied with the conditions in the Bulgarian resorts and would come back again.
