Through high technologies and scientific potential, Bulgaria can produce and export the fuel of the future - green hydrogen, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said during the business forum in Abu Dhabi on September 1.
Bulgaria is considering the possibilities for energy diversification through import of natural gas and oil, but this does not exhaust the potential of the partnership between our country and the UAE, President Rumen Radev is convinced.
"Bulgaria needs to set much higher, much more ambitious goals, we need to get out of this paradigm that we are a country that transfers foreign gas to other countries. We can produce the fuel of the future - green hydrogen - with high technologies, with our scientific potential, with our natural resources, with our industrial resources, and we can export it in huge quantities. This is a big goal and there are representatives of the Bulgarian business and scientific circles here who have been working in this area for a long time, who have technological solutions at a very good cost," the President said.
We are going to sign important partnership agreements in various fields.
The President pointed out that the caretaker government is laying a good foundation for a mutually beneficial cooperation between Bulgaria and the UAE.
"Bulgaria should not limit its ambition to seeking only new investments. On the contrary, we are here in search of new partnerships because it is in the challenges, both global and regional, that both countries face that we can be much more successful if we pool our potential and our efforts. And I can say that Bulgaria offers enormous potential, both as an economy, as science, as education, and above all the talent of our young people. Bulgaria can not only be a good economic partner. But Bulgaria can also be a serious factor in building stronger ties between the Gulf countries and the EU," Radev said.
"Entering a new market provides new opportunities that stimulate business. It also provides access to new talent and technology," said Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrui, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce.
The Head of State paid his respects at the Memorial to those who died in the line of duty.
