The relationship between political goals and the strategies developed on their basis, as well as the study and analysis of strategic and operational aspects in contemporary military conflicts was discussed at a meeting held at the Presidency on February 28, by the Head of State Rumen Radev and representatives of the Air War College in the United States, where the Head of State graduated with honours as a Master of Strategic Studies in 2003.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Bulgaria Kenneth Merten
The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States as well as the modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces were also discussed, the Presidency said.
Rumen Radev presented the Honorary Badge of the Head of State to Col. Eric Peterson of the Air War College, and on behalf of the college he presented the Head of State with a plaque in appreciation of his support for the security research programme conducted by the college.
