President Rumen Radev on November 1 met with representatives of 15 leading American companies. US Ambassador Kenneth Merten also participated in the meeting.
During the talks, the President stressed that the bilateral partnership in investments and technology transfer is the key element of the strategic cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States.
Rumen Radev highlighted Bulgaria's economic advantages in terms of geographical location, business conditions, and human potential:
"And here we can proudly say that Bulgaria, with its 7 million population, is sixth in the world in terms of medals from world Olympiads in mathematics, physics, information technology, linguistics and applied sciences. This is our exceptionally talented young generation," Rumen Radev said highlighting the potential of Bulgaria's young people in those fields.
"Colleagues are here because they are interested in Bulgaria. Like you said, they are familiar with some of the potential that is here. Those things that you noted, especially the young people, the talent, the human capacity," said Kenneth Merten, US Ambassador to Bulgaria.
