The prices of rod tax vignette stickers for 2017 will remain unchanged, Bulgaria’s Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Lilyana Pavlova, said on 24th of October. According to her, the prices of the vignette stickers will be changed in 2018, when the combined toll systems is expected to be introduced.
As of mid-October 2016, the revenues from vignettes was about 300 m BGN, the minister said and added that was an increase in the number of purchased stickers. There was a significant increase in the number of one-day stickers for freight vehicles and reduction the weekly vignettes for cars, but increase in the monthly one.
Minister Pavlova has noted that Road Infrastructure Agency loses 20 million BGN because it provides more than 200 vignettes per year under the social assistance for disabled.
