A public discussion for the new heating and electricity prices is held in the building of Bulgaria’s Energy and Water Regulatory Commission on 13th of June.
The energy regulator has proposed the electricity tariff for households to increase by up to 2% from 1st of July.
The biggest increase is set for CEZ clients, by 1.99%, and the smallest change in price is for Energo Pro clinets, by 0.22%.
EWRC estimates also include changes in the prices of heating and hot water.
The biggest increase is set for coal-fired district heating - up to 15%. Price reduction of 0.8% is envisaged in Sofia.
This is the second increase for the last three months.
The discussion will include representatives of civil society organizations and the companies themselves, which will exlplain why the price increase is necessary.
