A lorry and a passenger car have collided head-on near the village of Dobri Dyal, close to Lyaskovets. According to initial information, one of the drivers has died.
The affected section of the road has been closed to traffic.
Passenger vehicles and lorries weighing up to 12 tonnes are being diverted via Lyaskovets and the village of Kozarevets, while heavy goods vehicles are being held at the scene.
