Workers from the district heating company in Sliven (Southestern Bulgaria) joined the protest of their colleagues from the Maritsa basin on October 2. For a few minutes the protesters blocked the traffic on the road from Sliven to Sofia.
The district heating company employees will continue their protests until the demands of the energy workers are met.

The company has about 15,000 household subscribers. The majority of enterprises, schools and kindergartens are also customers of the heating company in the town.
"We respect the work of our colleagues. We are also part of this industry, we are also dependent. We fully understand the problems in this sector. And we will not stop," said a protester.
"We support our colleagues from the Maritsa basin and we sympathize with them. We do not want to be closed, we want o keep our jobs," explained Doncho, a protester.
