Evgeni is 33 years old and is deaf-mute. He resides in a home for disabled people in Kula, near Vidin, North of Bulgaria, where he turns landscapes into masterpieces, clay into figurines, and paint into works of art.

Ani Andreeva is his caregiver from the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration in Kula city. In an interview broadcasted on BNT on 12th of July, she explains that he is incredibly talented and is completely self-taught. He can work with almost any material – clay, plaster, ceramics, he can knit, sew, paint and draw.
His impediments to hear or speak don’t hinder his ability to communicate. The caregivers explain that Evgeni is very expressive through his gestures and socializes well. Most importantly, he is passionate for his art, and is given plenty of time and resources to keep developing his skills.
