Cabacum-Central Beach will remain unprotected during the summer season. The new concessionaire will be revealed in September, the District Governor of Varna, Stoyan Pasev, said on 11 July.
The new concessionaire has been elected, but the bidding process is being challenged by the previous concessionaire. He was also one of the bidders in the auction, but was declassified due to his documents. The case is being postponed until September by the court, because they are on vacation. For the remainder of the time, the beach will remain unprotected, and commercial activity may not take place. Nevertheless, the District Governor has ensured the safety and cleanliness of the beach.
Previously, three establishments on Cabacum-Central Beach have been found to be carrying out illegal commercial activity. This information was signaled by the new concessionaire, Pasev explained. In the next 7 days, the supply of water and electricity will be stopped for the three establishments, upon which they will be demolished.
The Municipality of Varna cannot be blamed for the situation, because they had no way to know about the issues in the procedure or delayed court hearing, says Stoyan Pasev.
