On the eve of the Day of Slavic alphabet, enlightenment and culture, the largest book event in Bulgaria, the Spring Book Fair, was opened on 23rd of May.
This year's fair will present more than 100 Bulgarian book publishers and book traders on 3 floors in the National Palace of Culture in the capital Sofia.
Within the six days of the fair, more than 50 premieres of the latest titles in Bulgaria will take place on the stalls of the publishers and on the stage of the cultural programme. There will be readings and meetings with foreign and Bulgarian authors.
The book fair will run until Sunday, 28th of May.
