The total cases of coronavirus confirmed in Bulgaria is 1872, after 7 new cases were reported since the morning, the national task force said in a daily update on May 8.
The new cases are as follows: Plovdiv – 1; Kardzhali – 1; Kyustendil – 1; Razgrad – 1 and Sofia – 3.
379 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 49 of them are in intensive care.
The medical professionals infected with the virus are now 201, which accounts for 11% of the total cases in the country.
The total 1872 cases include 914 men and 958 women. The average age of the persons who tested positive for the virus is 48.
The fatalities are 86. An 84 year old man died today in Pirogov emergency hospital. He had brain vessels disease and high blood pressure. He also had a stroke. A 52 year old woman died in Yambol. She also had underlying health conditions, including angina and high blood pressure.
