Huge number of lorries were queuing up at Danube Bridge near the city of Rousse on 21st of October. Freight vehicles and cars were temporarily not allowed to cross the bridge, from 7.30 this morning, for five hours, because a test of the facility is being performed at the Romanian side.
The testing includes checking the bridge vibrations after completed repair on construction elements. Most Bulgarian drivers were aware of the temporary suspension of traffic but many foreigners were unpleasantly surprised.
Traffic will remain temporarily restricted for all types of vehicles between 7.30 and 12.00 in the next two days, 22nd and 23rd of October.
