Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Transport, Hristo Alexiev, on November 23 explained that the ban on exports of Russian oil applies only to pipeline oil, but not to oil delivered by sea.
In talks with the European Commission, the government is yet to clarify the issue of possible re-export of petroleum products based on Russian oil.
Alexiev pointed out that 3 million tonnes of Lukoil Neftohim's production, or 50%, is for the Bulgarian market.
