According to initial information, the tanker was empty and not carrying oil
A tanker is currently grounded off the coast of Ahtopol. The Burgas Regional Administration has stated that there is no danger to the lives or health of local residents, and there is no evidence of environmental impact related to the tanker. Continuous monitoring is being conducted from both the shore and the air, and the situation is fully under control.
The 10-member crew is safe, equipped with all necessary protective gear, and maintains constant communication. According to initial reports, the tanker is empty and not carrying oil. The starboard anchor has been deployed, and the crew is working on lowering the port anchor to further stabilise the vessel.
Due to rough sea conditions, experts emphasise that any active measures, including evacuation or other operations, should be carried out during daylight hours for maximum safety.

The Regional Crisis Management Headquarters for Disasters and Accidents is holding meetings to coordinate the work of all competent institutions. A Border Police helicopter is conducting aerial surveillance of the area, supported by thermal cameras. All relevant ministries have been informed and are ready to take action if the situation changes.
Residents are urged to remain calm. At present, there is no reason for alarm, and authorities continue to monitor the situation in real time.
