“Yes Bulgaria" will stand in the October 27 parliamentary elections in coalition with "We Continue the Change" (WCC) and Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB). This is what the National Council of the formation decided at its meeting on September 3.
"Yes, Bulgaria!" party mandates the Executive Council with concluding an agreement for the joint participation in the upcoming early parliamentary elections of "Yes, Bulgaria!" in coalition with We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria. Due to the lack of conditions to complete the process of negotiating a new long-term political agreement now, after the elections a new mandate will be given to negotiate such an agreement, including on the basis of the results," “Yes Bulgaria!” wrote in a resolution sent to the media.
It was decided to set out objectives for the coalition in the elections, which are defined as key.
"At the early parliamentary elections on 9 June 2024, WCC- DB lost half of its voters. Moreover, it was another result that showed a withdrawal of support. For "Yes, Bulgaria!" this was a clear signal that the current formula of political representation of the democratic community in the centre-right needs a very serious reconsideration. If this trend continues without a genuine renewal, we will not be able to effectively carry out our main political mission: to defend the geopolitical orientation of the country in all dimensions, to impose an agenda of consistent modernisation and democratisation, and to guarantee the rule of law and a good business environment. Bulgaria needs to end the political crisis, form a bold, anti-corruption and reformist government. All this can only happen if we set ambitious electoral goals," the resolution of the National Council of “Yes Bulgaria!” further says.
