Bulgaria’s coastal region of Varna has registered 117 new Covid-19 cases for the past two weeks.
93 are Bulgarians and 24 are foreign tourists who were on vacation on the Bulgarian Northern Black Sea coast. Seven of the infected people had a completed immunization course with two doses of the vaccine. Two of them were admitted to hospital.
There are no medical staff with a positive test result for Covid-19 in the seaside city. Currently in Varna, the Covid-19 patients are only in the University Hospital "St. Marina", but all hospitals with COVID wards are ready to admit patients when the number of infected increases.
