The medics from the emergency aid also joined the protest against violence towards medical professionals on 7 July. The most frequent victims of the attacks are the emergency doctors. A new incident of aggression towards the medical staff revealed on 7 July. It happened in the village of Momin Prohod shortly before the multi-vehicle accident on Trakia motorway on 5 July.
Medical emergency team from the town of Kostenets was responding to a call for an ill person, but it took 20 minutes to the ambulance to get to the village. The doctors found that the man had died but a neighbour attacked the medical team.
The same emergency team was later called to help injured from the multi-vehicle accident on Trakia motorway. Despite that the doctors suffered injuries from the earlier physical attack on them, they made three round trips to hospitals to take injured people from the road accident.
