Minus 15 degrees per Celsius were measured this morning, January 22, in Chepelare, (a town in Smolyan district in Southern Bulgaria), data from the meteorological station on Mount Rozhen show. This is the lowest minimum temperature for the Smolyan region for the past 24 hours.
The thermometers in Pamporovo winter resort showed minus 10 degrees. Skiing conditions in Pamporovo are excellent, 10 slopes are open, served by 12 ski lifts.
The minimum temperature in the frosty January morning in Smolyan fell to minus 11 degrees.
