Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has given his full support to the draft laws submitted to the National Assembly by the National Ombudsman Maya Manolova for ending the so-called "modern slavery" and for limiting the powers of private baliffs.
At a meeting in the Council of Ministers on 6 July, the two have united around the need for further legislative measures to protect the labour and social rights of workers, as well as equal treatment for the people as regards bailiffs, banks and monopolies. The Prime Minister said he would engage GERB Parliamentary Group to make the adoption of the draft laws submitted by the Ombudsman a priority so that they could be passed by the end of September.
