Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Kiril Petkov, and Deputy Prime Minister, Asen Vassilev, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank discussed the strategic infrastructure projects of the government in the transport and energy sectors, the government press office reported on February 11.

In the course of the talks, they discussed the possibility of implementing these important projects for the society with the assistance and under the rules of the international financial institutions, in the shortest possible time and in conditions of maximum transparency.

Emphasis was also placed on the government's intention to attract young educated Bulgarians from the country and abroad, who would transfer international experience and good working practices in the implementation of the projects set out in the programme of the Cabinet.

During the meeting, representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank expressed support for financing the Prime Minister's initiative to establish the Stambolov Fund, which would contribute to the return to Bulgaria of successful Bulgarians who have received a world-class education.
