371 polling stations in 70 countries will be opened for the 26th of March parliamentary elections. This became clear at a briefing of Bulgaria’s foreign ministry on the organization the voting abroad.
More than 45,000 applications have been submitted by Bulgarians who want to vote in countries outside Bulgaria, the largest number being in Turkey – 19,000. More than 5,300 application have been submitted in the United Kingdom and more than 3,000 in Spain.
Election papers have already been delivered in one-third of the polling stations. By Thursday, the papers will be delivered in all the polling stations outside Bulgaria, the foreign ministry assured. Over 2,000 people will be part of the polling station staffs. 1,200 of them are representatives of the Bulgarian communities abroad.
