Bulgaria’s Parliament speaker, Tsetska Tsacheva, who was the centre-right GERB’s candidate in the 2016 Presidential elections, will remain in the post and would not resign from Parliament, she told media on 15th of November after a meeting of GERB’s Parliamentary group, at which the MP’s priorities and the weekly programme were discussed.
The whole parliamentary group is backing me, I will not resign, Tsacheva said.
On 16th of November, the lawmakers’agenda will include one point – the voting on the resignation of PM Borissov and the government, which was tabled on 14th of November.
The chair of GERB’s parliamentary group, Tsvetan Tsevtanov also confirmed that Tsacheva was the legitimate chairperson of Bulgaria’s Parliament and the group backed her.
On Thursday and Friday the MPs will discuss at first reading the state budget, the budgets of the National Insurance Institute and the National Health Insurance Fund.
