Bulgaria’s Head of State, President Roumen Radev, sent a letter of condolence to Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, after the March 22 terrorist act in London, the press office of Bulgaria’s President said on 23rd of March.

“I was deeply saddened by the news of the horrific act of terror that led to the loss of innocent lives," President Radev said. On behalf of the Bulgarian people and himself, the Bulgarian Head of State expressed the deepest condolences to the families of the victims and hope for a quick recovery of the injured.

“Such acts of hatred and violence are totally unacceptable and cannot be justified by any argument. The Republic of Bulgaria firmly and strongly condemns this attack against the foundations of morality and humanity," the statement reads. The Head of State has stressed that this shocking act shows that we must remain united and resolute in the fight against terrorism and that is our common duty to work to build a more secure and peaceful world.

“I am convinced that you will remain steadfast in the efforts to quickly identify those responsible for this inhuman deed and bring them to justice to the full extent of the law," the letter said.
